Urartu3
The cameo technique on this necklace is hand-carved in red carnelian and is hand-molded in sterling silver, featuring a silver chain.
The Urartu Kingdom thrived in Eastern Anatolia from the 9th to the 6th century BC. The Urartians valued talismans and amulets, using them for various practical purposes. Animal figures such as lions, bulls, and eagles were commonly incorporated into Urartian amulets, symbolizing strength and bravery. Designs inspired by Urartian culture added a unique artistic touch to these pieces.
Talismans have held a significant place in everyday life, often serving as personal items of adornment. Throughout history, amulets have been carried for their aesthetic appeal and the sense of individuality they provide.
Each OTTHEOSUFI product is handcrafted by its designer, who trained as an artisan in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul, using wax, making each piece unique. This process gives the product its authentic antique beauty. Each design has a unique story. Every pendant is hand-carved, assembled, and slightly unique. These are limited edition items, and once sold out, they will not return.
